Kicking (and punching)
I have been feeling Damon kick for several weeks now but it wasn't until yesterday that it really became intense. He started out the day by kicking right into my rib. He kicked so hard that it made me jump. I have heard pregnant women talk about this happening before, but I really didn't believe it, until I experienced it myself. I was just sitting at my desk working when Boom! He kicked me so hard it kind of scared me. Throughout the day he pretty much stayed focused on the rib area, but gave me a little break from the really hard kicks. Last night it continued again when I laid down in bed. This time he was focusing on my left side and I had the comforter over my belly with my arm over it and he kicked so hard that it made my arm move! Then I started thinking about his last ultrasound pics and how I thought his legs looked really muscular and his feet looked huge! Plus he only weighed 1lb at that time. He is probably around 2.5lbs by now and I'm sure his legs and feet are only getting bigger and bigger! Basically, I don't even want to know what its gonna be like when he gains another 5lbs. He will probably bust right through my belly!!

Maternity clothes...Ugh
So I am now at the point in my pregnancy where my pre preg clothes are definitely not an option. So this weekend I had to go maternity clothes shopping for the first time. Seeing the jeans with the elastic waistband hanging on the rack nearly brought me to tears they are so ugly looking! But the thing is, regular clothes just don't work anymore, so I am left to choose between being uncomfortable or being slightly unfashionable. I went with the comfy option! After trying on the elastic waistband jeans, I had to have them!! I've been wearing my "regular clothes" for way to long when I could've been in elastic heaven this entire time! I have seriously been missing out! Also, I found a really cute dress in my pre preg size that fits like a really cute shirt. So even though maternity shopping isn't my idea of fun, it still turned out ok, and now I have plenty of room to grow into my new clothes (oh how exciting).

Damon's First Duck Game
So I am taking my belly full of baby to the Boise State vs. Oregon football game tonight! I am very excited and I am hoping for a Duck victory!! I wanted to make a shirt that said "future duck fan inside" or something cute like that, but I didn't find out that I got tickets until yesterday, so I didn't have time, but don't worry my shirt is extra tight so you can really see my belly!!
This is my first post so I want to let you know that everything has been going great so far with my first pregnancy. I have added a ticker to countdown the weeks until Damon's due date. I will try to put up some belly pics as soon as I have the courage to actually take any ;). I want to do this blog as a little journal of how things go over the next few months of my pregnancy so I can have this as a record for me to look back on when Damon is a teenager and really pissing me off I can look back on this blog and remember how excited I was for his arrival. Haha.
I first found out I was having a little boy two weeks ago and Nick (my husband) is completely out of his mind with excitement. It is the cutest thing ever to see how excited he is to be having a son. So far Damon is just kicking away and I think he must really be going through a growth spurt about now because every morning when I wake up my belly (along with everygthing else) looks bigger!
I will hopefully be returning tomorrow to blog about our little boys first game being a victory for the Ducks!! :)
